LSC and MOJ ask for mediators views on funding for training and ideas for raising public awareness
The LSC are currently reviewing the criteria for awarding mediation training contracts and would welcome the views of mediation practices on the appropriateness of last year’s criteria and also the viability of reducing the size of the awards for training (last year £2,500 for the foundation training course and £5,000 for the portfolio) whilst still covering the full costs of the training process potentially enabling more services to be supported. They also welcome guidance on the types of services they should target.
The MOJ have also asked for creative and cost effective ideas on ways to increase public awareness of mediation.
